Johnnie's Birthday

34 years ago today on Tuesday, December 20th, Johnnie was born.

He was a cute kid that grew up to be a successful hottie :)  I'm so proud of him!

We went out to celebrate with friends at a Brazilian Steak House for dinner :)

Happy Birthday, my love!

Christmas Market

Some friends I recently went on a shopping trip to seoul in search of Christmas ornaments and decorations.  One of our shopping destinations was the Express Bus Terminal.  This is not only a bus terminal and subway station, it's also a great place for shopping all year round!  You can buy everything from plants, to clothing, to furniture from over 1,000 vendors at great bargains.  To learn more, click here for an article and video featured on discoveringkorea.com.

This time of year, a Christmas market appears in the Express Bus Terminal.  If you arrive by subway, go out of exit 8.  There are plenty of Christmas things there (still underground in the station) and there is also an entire floor, floor 3, devoted to Christmas and flowers in the bus terminal building (near exit 8 if you go above ground).  I'm not sure I've ever seen so many Christmas decorations in one place before.  It was so festive and beautiful to see.  We all left with a little something to decorate our apartments :)

Our Anniversary

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary!  Johnnie and I met on June 22, 2007 and were married on December 13, 2008, surrounded by family and friends in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Why Vegas?  I'm from Pennsylvania, he's from Seattle, and we were living in Georgia so we decided to have a destination wedding in a fun location that family and friends wouldn't mind traveling to.  It was a wedding in Vegas, not a Vegas wedding.  Everything about our wedding was absolutely perfect and amazing, including the man I married :)

Our invitation

We found the most amazing Vegas wedding photographer, Chelsea Nicole, to do our engagement and wedding photos.  Chelsea is the sweetest person and did such an incredible job capturing our magical day!  All of the photographs below are by her.

We had a full wedding ceremony at the beautiful Guardian Angel Cathedral Catholic Church, which is just off of the Vegas Strip.

It took a little convincing for the priest to allow sabers in the church.  Walking down the aisle under the saber arch at the start and end of the ceremony was my favorite part,  next to the "you may now kiss the bride" part of course :)

I got a smack on the butt with a saber and a "Welcome to the Air Force, ma'am!" after this kiss :)

Can you get any luckier than to marry your best friend?

Last year for our 2 year anniversary, Johnnie arranged a surprise "Trash the Dress" photo session with our wedding photographer Chelsea Nicole!  Since Johnnie is a pilot, we went with an aviation theme.  It was so much fun and we love the photos!

It's been 3 incredible years and we still have a lifetime more.  There is nothing more perfect than sharing love and life with my best friend, my soul mate, and my greatest love.  Every day is an adventure and as long as we're together, I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Happy Anniversary, Johnnie!  xoxo, Angela

More "Not Quite Right"

In the "land of the not quite right", seeing things like this can always bring a smile to your face :)

Instructions posted above a toilet... in case you're not sure what to do.

A men's suit store... for dainty men?

Did they have to put a shirt that says "suck" in the window of a store named "cok"?

This made me do a double take... it's just a hair accessory store!

This is a children's clothing store!

"ka-ka" means 'discount' but it's still funny :)

There are multiple things wrong with this t-shirt...

"Let's merry."  I expected more from you, Starbucks!

Not so sure about the meat served in this restaurant... I don't see any hotdogs pictured...

Love this!

This photo is on a sign that says "Don't climb the fence or we'll tell your parents."

A sign on the Korean Air Force base: "I basic easy small today."  Okaaaay, thank goodness the U.S. military is here to help keep this country safe!
